Choice copy of fine mid thirties combo led by somewhat obscure jazz vocalist and saxophonist, Emmett Matthews and his Orchestra. Despite being relatively unknown to the public at large, Matthews had a 40 year career in music starting in the 20s, working with the likes of Fats Waller, Edgar Hayes and even playing on R&B records with Steve Gibson’s Red Caps. Condition: E++; Plays fine, loud and strong, generally quiet surface. Clean, like new surface.
