- Description
- Rare transcription of legendary composer/enterainer, Shelton Brooks doing a Bert Williams style version of "Nobody". Shelton Brooks composed such classics as "Darktown Strutters Ball" and "Some Of These Days" (Sophie Tuckers theme song) and many others. Flip side is Bob Parrish with orchestra preforming a wonderfully updated rendition of Shelton Boorks' 1916 composition, "Walking The Dog". These transcriptions tend to have long lead-in grooves and the performances tend to be relatively short. None-the-less, rare and great. This 1943, 20th Century Fox transcription was done for the movie "Stormy Weather". Condition: V++; Plays fine but some overall scuffiness and a few light scratches.
