James (Stump) Johnson

Johnson's first record from December 1928, recorded at QRS in Long Island City and originally issued on the QRS label, this issue is almost contemporary from late 1929. Moderate surface scuffing and light scratches, one scratch that clicks for the last few grooves on B side and occasional crackle on both sides toward the end, but plays with no distortion on both sides with a 3.5-mil stylus, very nice copy overall.
