Description: Early African American gospel male quartette on the early Paramount 12,000 race series. Condition: Although the grooves show minimal wear, the record has numerous overall light to moderate scratches and a bit of staining on "Gonna Shout". Nonetheless, the record plays about as good as you can expect for any early acoustic Paramount and the songs can be heard well over the surface noise. The labels are better than the pictures although there is a good bit of fading on "Down by The Riverside". May have been from poor printing?
