The formative years of the world’s greatest rock band were spent honing their skills on the rocking blues sounds of the Chess label of Chicago. Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley provided more than half of their early set-list. As the sixties drew to a close, the stones began to draw more heavily on the earlier sounds of the Delta Blues.
