| Description |
The Delmore Brothers' recording career lasted from 1931 to 1952. An even longer spell as 'live' artists made them unique in their field. During their active period some vital changes to country music took place - to which they made major contributions.
The first compilation of their work (JSP 7727), was concentrated on their early recorded legacy, between 1933 and 1941. With this set JSP presents more of their early pieces, with sides they made in the 1940s and early 1950s.
Choosing check shirts and stetsons was about as stylish as the Delmores ever got. These were different, simpler times. Music was what mattered. They were right. Their music is crafted to outlast any fashion. |
