| Description |
Carson J. Robison’s music was the kind of commercial hillbilly that many were raised on back in the 1940s. I loved his voice & guitar playing and adored his songwriting but, above all, I was a huge fan of his whistling technique (though could never come close to emulating it). Robison had a rare talent in that he could whistle two tones in harmony at the same time! This compilation focuses on the Kansas artist’s years with MGM, during which time he wrote and recorded his most popular hit, Life Gets Tee-jus, Don’t It, a huge success for him and Peter Lind Hayes. |
